Will there be a job that fits my abilities and temperament?
Yes! We have a large variety of jobs, and we do want you to be doing what you are most comfortable with. Jobs and tasks of volunteers include:
1) feeding and caring for the animals.
2) preparing food for the animals.
3) cleaning cages, doing dishes, and helping with laundry.
4) typing and other clerical tasks.
5) receiving injured or orphaned animals from the public.
6) interacting with the public through telephone communication.
7) cleaning and organizing the Center.
8) speaking to groups as part of our Educational Program.
9) providing transportation for animals to and from the Center.
10) designing,writing, and editing publications (advertising or marketing
experience desirable).
11) assisting with the construction of animal habitats and enclosures.
12) helping with animal physical therapy.
13) Grant writing.
14) Helping us publicize the Center at various area events, e.g. festivals
& concerts.
15) Fund Raising.
